This is a python script that can generate compressed textures for the Nintendo DS. It is quite slow.
An example of how to use compressed textures, based on the devkitPro nds-examples, is also available. For more information on the texture format, read Nintendo DS Texture Compression on my LJ.
dstexcomp has the following requirements:
It will optionally use Psyco if you have it.
